🌏 The eleventh overseas page on this site. ⚡The sixteen matches we hold a score for in 2026 are eight wins and eight losses — but split by event they look nothing alike: 7-4 in men's singles and 1-4 in the men's doubles he plays with Christo Popov. 🥈He was runner-up at the China Open (Super 1000) in July, and 🔁38 days later he beat the man who had beaten him in that final, Chou Tien-chen, in the China Masters first round. ⚠️Two players called Popov appear on our tournament pages.

🌏 The twelfth overseas page on this site. 🏆He won the All England Open (Super 1000) in March 2026 — the first men's singles title there for a player from Chinese Taipei. ⚠️And we hold not a single match from that title run. ⚡The eleven matches we do hold are eight wins and three losses, and all eight wins come from two events: the India Open in January, which he won without losing a match, and the China Open in July. 🆕One of them, the second-round win over the then world No. 2 Christo Popov, had no line on our own tournament page until 8 September.

🌏 The thirteenth overseas page on this site, and the first Canadian. 🥉He took bronze at the 2026 World Championships as the 7th seed, a second one in a row after Paris in 2025. 🏆He won the Indonesia Open (Super 1000) in June, unseeded. ⚡The twelve matches we hold a score for in 2026 are nine wins and three losses, and every one of the three defeats came in a semi-final. 🆕We added his four India Open results from January, where he reached the semi-finals unseeded, on 20 September 2026, and his Indonesia Open final on 24 September. 🔢We also counted every match he played in those five events in the official BWF day data, which comes to twenty, and named the eight we do not hold. 🔻Only one of those eight is a defeat, the China Masters second round on 3 September, so our own record shows one loss fewer than he actually had.

📅 Beat Lakshya Sen 21-14, 21-7 in 38 minutes in the China Masters round of 32 on 2 September (we hold no record of the second round the next day, which BWF has as 18-21, 19-21 to Srikanth Kidambi) / lost the World Championships semi-final on 22 August 21-16, 13-21, 14-21 in 85 minutes to Alex Lanier (9th seed) for bronze / beat Rasmus Gemke 21-19, 21-18 in 54 minutes in the quarter-final on 21 August / semi-finalist at the China Open on 25 July, losing 21-14, 12-21, 15-21 in 73 minutes to Toma Junior Popov / won the Indonesia Open final on 7 June, beating Jonatan Christie 21-19, 21-8 in 39 minutes / semi-finalist at the India Open on 17 January, unseeded, losing 9-21, 21-6, 20-22 in 61 minutes to Lin Chun-yi after three wins

🌏 The fourteenth overseas page on this site. 🔥On 21 July he beat the 3rd seed, Anders Antonsen of Denmark, 22-20 in the decider in the China Open first round. ⚡The five matches we hold a score for in 2026 are two wins and three losses, and both wins went to three games while all three defeats ended in two. 🔴That first-round score was wrong in all eight places we had written it, and we corrected it on 9 September 2026. 🔢We also counted every match he played across four events in the official BWF day data, and named the three we have no score for. 🆕His Japan Open first round on 14 July (14-21, 21-23 to Christo Popov) was outside the three events we counted when this page went up, so we added it on 18 September 2026.

📅 🆕his Japan Open first round on 14 July, 14-21, 21-23 in 47 minutes to Christo Popov (5th seed), added on 18 September 2026 / lost the China Masters quarter-final on 4 September 18-21, 13-21 in 50 minutes to Jason Gunawan (HKG), though our tournament page holds no score for it / lost the World Championships first round on 17 August as the 16th seed, 17-21, 14-21 in 43 minutes to Yushi Tanaka / lost the China Open quarter-final on 24 July 25-27, 14-21 in 55 minutes to Lin Chun-yi / beat Anders Antonsen (3rd seed) 15-21, 21-17, 22-20 in 84 minutes in the first round on 21 July

🌏 The twenty-fifth overseas page on this site: World No. 22 in men's singles (13 October 2026, 49,560 points), aged 22. 🥇He came into the China Masters 2026 unseeded and won all five matches for the title — our tournament page records it as the first Super 750 men's singles title for a Hong Kong player since that grading began in 2018. 🔢The five matches we hold are five wins, but the official BWF player data counts 14 events with 18 wins and 12 defeats across his 2026, and we have a page for just one of them.

🇯🇵 The forty-fifth player page on this site: men's doubles only, with Yuichi Shimogami, and World No. 25 on the official BWF list of 13 October 2026 (44,421 points). ⚡Our tournament pages record eight matches in 2026, four won and four lost, and they split cleanly by the opening game: three wins and no defeats when he took it, one win and four defeats when he did not. 🔴His partner played the Asian Games in September, but Nomura was not in that squad — and neither name is in the BWF main draw for the Arctic Open or the Denmark Open, so as of 15 October we have no autumn matches for him.

📅 Lost the China Masters 2026 quarter-final on 4 September 13-21, 21-19, 12-21 in 56 minutes to Tee Kai Wun / Yap Roy King (MAS) — his best result of the year in our records / beat C. Popov / T. J. Popov (FRA) 21-13, 21-17 in 39 minutes in the World Championships 2026 first round on 17 August, having only entered the draw on 24 July off the reserve list / 🆕 he was on the association's lists for the Arctic Open 2026, the Denmark Open 2026 and the French Open 2026 (draw out on 15 October) but is in none of the three BWF main draws, so as of 15 October he has no autumn matches

📅 Unseeded semi-finalist at the Orleans Masters 2026 in March (lost 14-21, 12-21 to Alex Lanier) / lost the China Masters 2026 first round on 2 September 13-21, 21-12, 18-21 in 72 minutes to Julien CARRAGGI (BEL) / 🆕 lost the Arctic Open 2026 second round 16-21, 19-21 to Chou Tien-chen / beat Kodai Naraoka in the Denmark Open second round, then gave a walkover to 2nd seed Christo Popov in the quarter-final on 16 October (no reason has been given)

🇯🇵 The forty-seventh player page on this site: Japan's mixed doubles national-team pair for 2026, World No. 18 on the official BWF list of 13 October 2026 (49,590 points). 🥉Our tournament pages record ten of their 2026 matches across three events: seven won, three lost, with semi-final runs at the Thailand Masters in January and the Daihatsu Japan Open in July. Two of the three defeats were semi-finals, and in both the winners went on to take the title. 🏅They won the Canada Open (Super 300) on 5 July, but we hold no matches from that event.

📅 The Japan Open second round on 16 July was an all-Japanese tie, 21-10, 17-21, 21-8 over Yuta Watanabe / Maya Taguchi / lost the China Masters second round on 3 September 14-21, 21-19, 10-21 to the eighth seeds / quarter-finalists at the Arctic Open 2026 as the only pair sent as Japan's national team / quarter-finalists again at the Denmark Open, losing 15-21, 22-24 to HOO Pang Ron / LAI Pei Jing (MAS) on 16 October

📮 How we write these

🔍 Keep your own scores

A top-level match reads differently once you can see where it turned. That is the whole reason we keep the score game by game instead of a win-loss table. If you record your own matches — or your child's — BADOSHEET keeps them in the same shape and draws the trends for you.

❓ Questions

What is on these player pages?

Every 2026 result for that player, tournament by tournament, with the score of each match. We record the 2026 season match by match on our own tournament pages, so a player page is that record rearranged by player: each result links to our page for that event, where you can also find the draw, the other entries and how to follow the broadcast. Profiles use only what the Nippon Badminton Association and the player's own federation publish officially. We do not write about injuries, health, private life, family or earnings.

Which players get a page?

Only adult professionals who actually appear in our own tournament records. We work down the list in the order of how many of our pages a player appears on. We do not create a page for a player we hold no match record for, even one ranked inside the world top 20: without a record of our own the page would only be a summary of an encyclopedia, and a page about a real person that adds nothing is a page we should not publish. We do not create pages for minors.

Something here is wrong — how do I get it fixed?

Please contact us. These pages are an unofficial summary built from published information. If a fact is wrong, or if the player or their team would like a page taken down, we will check and then correct or remove it promptly. Figures that change every week, such as the world ranking, are always published here with the date they applied to.

Are the pages the same in Japanese and English?

They are a pair: every English page has a Japanese one at the matching address, and we do not publish an English page without its Japanese counterpart. The match results and the scores are identical in both. The tournament pages they link to are written in Japanese only.
