Semi-final, 31 January: 27-29, 16-21 in 51 minutes to Adnan MAULANA / Indah Cahya Sari JAMIL (INA), the sixth seeds — who went on to win the title. Swiss Open 2026

They came through qualifying and lost their first match in the main draw. In qualifying on 10 March they beat Kristoffer KOLDING / Mette WERGE (DEN) 21-17, 17-21, 21-19 in 55 minutes; in the first round on 11 March they lost to GUO Xin Wa / CHEN Fang Hui (CHN) 11-21, 19-21 in 35 minutes. Our Swiss Open 2027 page only records that they were the pair who came through qualifying, with no scores, so these are not among the ten below.

🥉Semi-finals — and the three wins here came at the biggest event we record for them, a Super 750. First round, 14 July: 21-14, 18-21, 21-14 in 66 minutes over CHENG Xing / ZHANG Chi (CHN), a pair our tournament page describes as world No. 9. Second round, 16 July, an all-Japanese tie against Yuta Watanabe and Maya Taguchi: 21-10, 17-21, 21-8 in 51 minutes. Quarter-final, 17 July: 21-14, 17-21, 21-13 in 59 minutes over YANG Po-Hsuan / HU Ling Fang (TPE). Semi-final, 18 July: 13-21, 8-21 in 37 minutes to Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping (CHN), who went on to win the title.

China Masters

Super 750・Shenzhen, China

First round, 1 September: 21-14, 21-10 in 30 minutes over PAR Tien Ann (MAS) / Juliana Zefanya GABRIELA (VEN) — the shortest of the ten matches we record. Second round, 3 September: 14-21, 21-19, 10-21 in 58 minutes to eighth seeds GOH Soon Huat / LAI Shevon Jemie (MAS). Our tournament page notes that this defeat left no Japanese pair in the mixed doubles.

Arctic Open 2026

🔴In the squad list the Nippon Badminton Association published on 11 September 2026, this pair is the only entry sent as the national team. The other Japanese entries are on a separate self-funded list. The draw has not been published yet.

🏆On 5 July 2026 this pair won the mixed doubles at the Canada Open (Super 300, Calgary), beating Liu Kuang Heng / Hsu Yin-Hui (TPE) 21-17, 17-21, 21-17 in the final. It was their first title together.

The Canada Open final reads "21-17 17-21 21-17" in BWF's news story and "21–17, 17–21, 21–17" in the results table on English Wikipedia — the same scoreline.

They were world No. 20 in mixed doubles on the list of 15 September 2026, with 47,300 points. The official BWF ranking (Week 38) and the BWF World Ranking table on English Wikipedia (as of 22 September 2026) agree on both the place and the points.

  The infobox on English Wikipedia gives 12 December 2023 as the date of Koga's best men's doubles ranking, No. 14, with Taichi Saito. ⚠️Taichi Saito and Natsu Saito are different people.

  The infobox on English Wikipedia gives 21 October 2025 as the date of Saito's best mixed doubles ranking, No. 7, with Hiroki Midorikawa. Our Indonesia Masters 2027 page also records Midorikawa and Saito as the 2025 mixed doubles winners there.
• As a pair — They came together at the end of 2025
  English Wikipedia places the start of the partnership in 2025, citing a Badminton Spirit article of 5 November 2025, which matches the "second half of 2025" on our own Kaohsiung Masters page. English Wikipedia also says their international debut was the Malaysia Open in January 2026, where they reached the second round, but we have only that one source for it and do not state it as fact.

🗓️October in Europe: both players are on the squad the Nippon Badminton Association published on 11 September 2026. At the Arctic Open 2026 (6 to 11 October, Helsinki) they are the only pair sent as the national team.
